A Return to Poetry... Sort Of

In nature population generally grows in accordance with food supply.

How easily the free room in a house gets filled with junk.

Excess attention drawing tasks often hide the problem, the deficiency deeper down.

How people tend to seek out more chaos... to fill whatever free time exists.

The challenge in modern times may be to moderate. The freedom may be to embrace simplicity & live below the means.

To use power wisely and to realize it is transient. To not be corrupted by it, like bearers of the ring in the Tolkien books.

To be free enough of the abundant sugar and psychodrama. To get at finer textures in life. To still have a taste for them.

To see past the hooks of busyness & approval & instant gratification snacks. To reach and taste the subtle complexity.

To reach personal and collective plasticity and growth. To wander, to draw, to be drawn to.

To collide with what is so often missed while in the grip of distraction...To truly participate in what could be a democracy.

To have forward momentum... the type that excess tasks & re-arranging of excess objects give the illusion of.

To grow, to be aware, to be mindful, to move, to address dysfunction, to untangle, to rebuild. To live with a sense of wonder.

To live as an always changing, transient being would. To live as a being connected to something infinite and mysterious would.
